2024 Upcoming Trends

Welcome to the year 2024, where interior design trends are all about creating spaces that are comfortable, inviting, and stylish. No. 1: Natural Materials

We are seeing a continued use of natural materials, such as wood, stone, and brick. These materials add warmth and texture to a space and help create a sense of calm and relaxation. Expect to see a lot of wood accents in furniture, flooring, and even on walls. Stone is also making a comeback, particularly in the form of marble or rustic, interior stone walls like in the photo above. We see natural materials as timeless and predict that this "trend" will live on for many years to come!

No. 2: Maximalism

2024 is all about embracing maximalism. This trend is all about mixing patterns, textures, and colors to create a vibrant and eclectic space. Think oversized furniture, vibrant wallpaper, and statement lighting fixtures. Maximalism is all about creating a space that is full of personality and fun, and it's perfect for those who love to take risks with their décor. Another facet of maximalism we are seeing is through color. "Color Drenching" is a new term we are hearing a lot this year. When painting a room, you think about painting 4 walls right? Color drenching is when your literally "drench" the entire room in the same color including walls, ceiling, trim, and doors! We absolutely are loving this and having so much fun playing with color!

No. 3: Multi-Functional Spaces

With more and more people working from home, multi-functional spaces are becoming a necessity. In 2024, designers are creating spaces that can easily transition from a home office to a living room to a dining room. For example, a sofa might double as a guest bed, or a kitchen island might have a built-in desk for remote work. This trend is all about maximizing space and creating a sense of flexibility and versatility.

No. 4: Sustainable Design

As people become more conscious of their impact on the environment, sustainable design is becoming increasingly important. In 2024, expect to see a lot of eco-friendly materials, such as bamboo, cork, and recycled glass. These materials are not only sustainable, but they also add a unique texture and style to a space. Additionally, designers are incorporating energy-efficient lighting, appliances, and HVAC systems into their designs to create spaces that are both stylish and environmentally friendly.

2024 interior design trends are all about creating spaces that are stylish, sustainable, and functional. Natural materials, mixing patterns, color drenching, and sustainable design, and multi-functional spaces are just a few of the top trends to look out for. Whether you're planning a complete home renovation or just looking to update your décor, incorporating these trends into your design will ensure that your space feels fresh and exciting!
